You might be wondering what's become of us. Well, we're in the Moonbase bunker, recording our debut album.
In the meantime, we've just unearthed and uploaded a ton of old stuff we found over at our Soundcloud page.
That's right here.
Plenty to tide you over. News of gigs, album launches and the like when we're done.
Some gig, some time, some song called 'Landlovers'
Just found this. Coupla years old. Messed up sound but it's .. . . us. Always liked this song. No idea why we don't play it no more.
And you'll also be able to see Moonbears live and in the flesh at the Spencer Club, Albany Road, on the 6th May at 10.45pm. Moonbears will be playing pop music to make you sing and dance until midnight. Love you to come along x
THE MOONBEARS ARE GONNA BE . . .
A while ago we were asked to be the wedding band for our good friend Ben (and his lovely fiance-now-wife Marie). Our disorganisation gave us basically 2 weeeks to get ready a shitload of covers of which these were a few. We recorded them at our penultimate rehearsal for the wedding (for homework purposes i.e seeing where we were fucking up) with a single mic dangling from the roof - thus sound quality iffy but you get the jist.
There's others up on our Soundcloud page too, along with all sorts of Moonbears oddments & sodments
Thanks to the happy couple, Ben Edgar & Marie Scannell for being insane enough to ask The Moonbears to play on the most important day of their lives. We loved every mentalist minute of it x
FOUR (count'em) YES FOUR TRACKS UP ON SOUNDCLOUD FROM RECORDING SESSIONS IN 2009
'Pros From Dover', a song about us, can be heard here.
'Leaving The World Behind' a song about disappearance can be heard here.
'Landlovers' a song about war and the crowd can be heard here
And finally, 'De Vere', a song about funerals and stardom can be found here.
Enjoy and have good weekends Moonbears people. Next week we fully discharge our responsibilities and start figuring out what [the blazes / in Sam Hill / in the name of all that is holy] we're going to do next. We'll let you know once we know . . .
